You probably already know my distaste for American politics and her politicians, but for a moment, if we can separate politics from America herself, I think we've got a pretty good thing going on here.

And yes, we DO still make a few things in this country -- these blokes are making huge teeth for huge buckets on huge earth-moving equipment.

On Friday I spotted a huge plume of steam coming from the Berkeley Forge and Tool Company. I knew I was going to have fun with the steam plume but I wasn't expecting to get a peek into the drop-forging process in operation.

I had to shoot through a slatted fence for the first photo. The drop-press is operated with steam so the plume changes with the operation of the drop-press.

So, God Bless America. You have potential. Lets get our boys and girls home from endless wars and back to work building their future.

Lets help our homeless get off the sidewalks.

Lets inspire our fellow citizens into making a success of their lives, and then give them the opportunity.

That's a great post. Surprised there are no comments for it? The flag shot especially, is magnificent.

Brilliant post from the heart, Don.

Well said! I'm all about this whole blogging world, in that it's a multitude of voices out there, as an alternative the the few, loud voices that seem to get the attention of the media.
