playing the part

These hands belong to one of the hard-working but exceedingly silent mannequins in San Francisco.

And as they weren't anonymous enough already, this style of featureless face seems to be all the rage now.

Left unattended overnight, windows would most certainly be smashed. San Francisco is a city of vast differences and stark opposites.

Over the weekend a German tourist was killed when she got caught in cross-fire resulting from some young hoods playing shoot-em-up outside a comedy club in the upscale Union Square area.

Most visitors follow the recommendation to bring an extra coat with them to San Francisco -- I suppose the updated recommendation will be for them to also pack bullet-proof vests. What do you suppose this world coming to?

Sad commentary on the value of life and property.
I do like the shots of the Manequins (sp?) though. Faceless people, just like the tourist shot.
OK enough sad ranting.
