buildings in fog

Fog seems to add another dimension to San Francisco's skyline.   These shots were taken from Portsmouth Square in Chinatown.

You'll probably recognize the Transamerica Pyramid on the left.   That's the Hilton Hotel on the right.

Fog is a fighter for territory and can often be mightier than the sun.   We call fog our "natural air-conditioning".

Don't know if you're able to see the bird in the sun on your monitor, but birds are also part of the endless struggle.

I love the fog of our city so much. But it's elusive and doesn't always photograph well. These are great images you have here.

These shots have a beauty that's other-worldly. Love the feeling!

Love the composition and feel you captured in the second shot. Great perspective.
I think we will get a bit of that natural airconditioning when we go to SFO this weekend for our trip.
It will be fine since its 104 right now...

THANKS JULIE (TANGOBABY),

AND THANKS DEBORAH,

AND THANKS PHOTOTOWANNABE SUE -- 104 in the Sacramento area today? Well, that's just awful... It's been hot here too, but was about 30 degrees cooler on Monday down at Rodeo Beach. Have a great trip, and I hope you and hubby accomplish great things in Africa... Keep in mind my earlier warning about headshrinkers...

The banner for your blog (of the beautiful silk kimono, I guess is what it is) is absolutely brilliant. What a great photo it is.
