two ceramic vessels

Well, there you go, two ceramic vessels -- that's about all your intrepid reporter knows about them -- just two beautiful ceramic vessels, and they look very old.   Wish I knew more.   Looks like I'm going to have to make another visit to San Francisco's Asian Art Museum and bone-up on all the detals.

Little hope of peace when we [photog. pleads guilty too] so proudly show off these deadly flying machines.   Oh, I forgot -- they call these things "Peacekeepers".

These photos are from Blue Angels sub-set on my "big" site.

Oh, but they are impressive to watch and a lot of fun to photograph -- if you don't think about what they actually are too much.   The Blue Angels will be keeping the Bay Area free again this year on October 10 and 11.

CAUTION >>>>>>   Political Statement follows:

It's fairly obvious to me that if we continue on our deadly course of world dominance, one ideology will eventually win out and the others will perish.   So much for co-existence...   Or perhaps a more likely scenario -- we may all perish.

And now that I've probably alienated about half of my visitors, let me alienate some more by recommending a visit to 911 Truth.org.   Believe me, I hate to be the bearer of bad-news, and entertaining the conspiracy-theories is pretty darned depressing, so forgive me if it looks like I'm trying to stir up trouble.   I'll keep it under my lid for a while...

I hate the Blue Angels for every possible reason. They're noisy, polluting bombers that murder poor people in foreign lands, and to celebrate them doing circus acts is beyond disgusting. Plus, we have to pay for the fucking things as taxpayers which just adds insult to injury.

HI S.F. MIKE -- Well said!   I agree with you 110 percent.

I agree with you that it's best to just look at the planes without thinking about what they represent. No doubt. but that's as far as I go.

Personally, I enjoy watching the Blue Angels and I look forward to their coming back. I don't think about the military propaganda. I think about the speed, the difficulty to execute these manoeuvers, how beautiful these machines are when they fly in formation...

Sometime you have to focus on the half-full part of the bottle, otherwise why bother getting up in the morning.

I love military aircraft. Helicopters, jets, even C-130's. I used to think it was the speed, but I can run almost as fast as a C-130. (Ok, probably not, but they're not fast.) I think it's the noise. And I like quiet--peaceful, dead silence. But something about the noise of a military aircraft gets to me.

Everyone is entitled to their political opinion. I know that if I came out with mine full-blown, I'd probably alienate EVERYONE--not just half. But you don't cram it down my throat which is what I find irritating in others.

(Whew! Different word, but many of the letters are the same. Hmmmm....)
