Before the visitor to San Francisco's Museum of Modern Art sees even one lick of art, he or she is encouraged and almost forced to look up.   It's amazing how far a bit of sunshine will go.

Just fragments here, but I got my graphic-groove-on with these.

I cursed this artist for including text on his otherwise pristine lines.

The poem reads:
The poem begins to mirror itself
The identity of the poet gets more obvious.
Why can't we sing songs like nightengales?
Because we're not nightengales and can
never become them.   The poet has an
arid parch on his reality and the others.
Things desert him.   I thought of you
as a butterfly tonight with clipped wings.

An exhibit of wooden chairs caught my attention.   No sitting is allowed.

I'll have more from San Francisco's MOMA, tomorrow.

If you had virtually nothing to do today, you could fill your time by taking a look at more of the San Francisco museums on what I call my "big" site at http://www.photoarrow.com/131sanfranciscomuseums.html.

In your banner shot, had the woman on the left been standing still looking away as is the one on the right, it would have come off nearly perfect...but what does these days anyway? Ya gotta get what you can when it comes to people.

I know what you mean. I never can get enough of that roof, from the inside, or the outside, doesn't matter. It's an amazing piece.
