Bobcat and other "wild" life at Rodeo Beach

I don't know why they all have the name of "Bob", but I came just a little bit TOO close to a Bobcat along the shores of the Rodeo Lagoon on Saturday.

My camera and I were making my way towards some Montbretia and Calla Lilies -- the same spot where this large Bobcat had decided to sun and groom.   I reversed my direction and the Bobcat ignored me, although I'm sure she or he was fully aware of my presence.

Technically, my Kitty isn't a wild animal -- although there are certain times that she can become quite deadly.   She can easily puncture my skin with one of her razor-sharp claws or give me a bite that can draw blood when my teasing becomes a bit too silly and she wants me to stop.

I have a feeling this Bobcat (above) wouldn't put up with any of my antics.

The dog.   Man (and woman's) best friend -- so they say.   Dogs love the beach and all seem to get along fine together in the neutral territory.

Hey, grab a book or grab a board -- lets head for the Beach...

We're having Summer-time temperatures in California right now --
sorry if you're still shoveling snow.

Yes, I would be turning around and getting out of there pretty quickly, I would not want to wonder what "Bob" was going to do next. Although the temptation to try to get some real close ups might be overwhelming. Congratulations on your spring like weather. We got a skiff of snow this morning, but our day is supposed to be the warmest so far this year.

That is amazing the cat allowed you to get so close and capture those images. I am so jealous! Was that with your new zoomer lens? The post for my blog later today will be along the same topic, but I need to go out this morning and get a photo for a lead-in to the story.

Wasn't this weekend wonderful? I loved every minute of the warm weather. Great shots that show the perfect time.
