Late in the afternoon at Rodeo Lagoon.   Contrasts increase to stark whites while blacks become vacant.

Okay, I'm not entirely ready to give up on this scene.   I think I like this version just a little bit better.   A colorful sunset would have been nice too, but that just wasn't happening on Thursday.

Bring your board and wetsuit.   But a warning here -- that water is exceptionally cold -- way too cold for wimpy guys like me, even in a wetsuit.

Think these surfers are talking about waves and their rides?   No, I think they're talking about how damn cold the water is.   Brrrrrrr...
