I had a slightly different version of this (as the header) yesteray, but this one is less distorted, although it doesn't show the elaborate chains on the ends of those splayed cables.   CLICK HERE to see it.

Everything seems to be in proper order.   Lift ahoy...

I'm not exactly sure what this crane-barge was working on, but now it has it's cables unhooked and wound way up.   Time for a break?

This is my buddy Courtney, and although I didn't stop to talk to him on Saturday, I have in the past -- and have always enjoyed our chats.

Courtney rolls his bicycle over to the benches just south-east of Pier39 -- and he will accept small donations, although he insists on his Bible being included if you want to take a picture.   Courtney gave me a miniature Bible the first time we met -- it measures one inch by one-and-a-half inches, and has a plethora of selected verses to comfort my wicked soul.

Like the sign on the side of his bicycle says; "No Drugs, No Alcohol".   Courtney would work, but something is wrong with his knees and he can't stand for long periods of time.   He worked many years in the auto-body industry after four years in the Air Force.   As far as I can figure out, Courtney has arthritis.   Now he just sits and reads the Bible, pretty much.   Rain or shine...

Ask to see Courtney's Bible (if he doesn't already have it out)...   It is all tabbed, underlined and colorfully highlighted -- it's simply a work of art... I have some old photos, but can't seem to find them -- I'll have to go take some new ones...

There are so many interesting characters on the streets of The City. Love your picture of Courtney and the story it tells.
