Yesterday I showed the horizontal version of this photo, and even though it did well in the poll/voting (thank you very much, by the way) I think I like this vertical a bit better. Curously (to me at least), I find myself taking more vertical shots these days than in the past. I'm finding it a great way to add emphasis.

And roughly the same shot with some different vegetation in the foreground.

Okay, moving on from the lagoon at Rodeo Beach, it's time to look out towards Point Bonita.

This is the entrance to the straights of the Golden Gate.
San Francisco Bay is about a mile to the east.

This is known as the scenic route (Conzelman Road) to Point Bonita Lighthouse. All sorts of stuff to do here. Explore old artillery bunkers, visit the nude beach, watch surfers, get your feet wet, snap a few photos, pet a few dogs, say hello to a few ravens hanging in the air. And oh yeah, a really cool activity at Point Bonita is watching the sun go down.

All lovely shots, but I agree that the vertical shot is the most dramatic and interesting.
I do like the vertical shot too. The golden glow really makes the compositions supurb.
Always love your work Don.
Beautiful as usual. I prefer the landscape orientation of that one shot, however. And I, like you, find myself framing vertical shots more and more.
Excelentes macros, las primeras tomas, y muy buenas las restantes fotos con su procesado. Saluds
Ramón
THANKS EVERYBODY for your input. Appreciated. Yours, Don and Kitty
