I hope everybody is enjoying a fine Sky Watch Friday !
I shot this several weeks ago when we still had a lot of smoke in the air from the multitude of forest fires that were burning in California -- hence the redness of the shot...

Very beautiful. Lovely colors. Great SWF.
Love your Golden Reflection too :-)
Glorious!
Cheers, Klaus
Brilliant colors Don. I guess the smoke was good for something after all.
Have you noticed particularly lurid sunsets since the Aleutian eruption a short while back ? I suppose with the fires you would not have seen a difference.
Great shot! Too bad that all that smoke actually makes some very pretty sunsets.
Most often the best sunrises and sunsets are the result of fire. I wish they weren't often so devastating. Beautiful capture.
Powerful sky with splendid colors!
i love the colours of the photo and how the sun looks as if it is peeking through!
That's so lovely - hate to think about the fires, though.
I like the vivid colors and stormy look of the sun.
We have frequent fall fires and attendant red... very red sunrises and sunsets. Until you've seen one, it's hard to believe they could be so dramatic. Nice shooting.
i love how the you captured the sun rising amongst the orange and black clouds, and the shadowed scenery.
thanks for stopping by my sw.
Wow!! Very colorful and dramatic!! I'm glad I came to look!

Too bad for the forest! That's regrettable to lose so many trees in a few hours! We get somez fires each years in the South of France.
The fire and the grey smoke accentuate the colors of your sunset, I imagine it is far more impressive for real! With the smell, and maybe the heat.
What a great and colorful sky shot!
Gorgeous photo!!
Wonderful shor,love the colours!
What a stunning picture!
Californian sky in fire! Very impressive photo dear Donald!
I wish you a beautiful week-end!
Best regards,
Your photo illustrates one of the few advantages of smoke in the atmosphere -- gorgeous sunsets! Well done.
Beautiful...
Lovely sunset. It is amazing how air polution give us beautiful sunsets. I want to say how much I enjoy you reflection photos. They are outstanding. Thanks for the comments on my flowers. It was something different for me.
Cheers
Nice sunset, but I absolutely adore your wet sand!
That orange is really striking. Sorry that it meant that you had to endure fires.
Oh my, you can see the darkened smoked clouds too. It's amazing how disasters can create the most gorgeous skies.
I went on your BIG site; very impressive !!!
It was a pleasure !
Lovely photos. Sorry it took me so long to stop by - but I'm glad I did. I really enjoyed looking at your BIG site too!
