"G"olden "G"ate Bridge -- it's ABC Wednesday !

Hope everybody is having a great "G"-day...   It's ABC Wednesday !

This is a foggy "posterized" Golden Gate Bridge...
I like to use this technique for turning an otherwise "ho-hum" photo into something a bit more spectacular.

There's two different ways of making these --
1)   By saving the JPEG as a GIF and selecting the number of colors.
2)   Using the Posterize feature in PhotoshopCS3 so the image can be saved as a JPEG.

The effect in the sky is ver SF book cover - love it.
Thanks for looking by -I have finished putting the pics into the page I have linked to, just need to do captions. Should have done it yesterday.

Wow! How do you achieve such an image?

Sensational.

That's a great way to lift an ordinary image - although it doesn't look ordinary to me!

I love your two previous sunset photos too.

That's a very interesting effect, and I love the sky. Makes it all look like an illustration.

Yesterday's sunsets are beautiful! I'd be happy to give wall-room to either of them.

It could safely be called "special" - but why not?

I love your 'special effects' and I want your 'leaves and water' photo blown up and on my wall!

Thanks for the instructions. I'll play around with this someday.

Your header photo is fabulous, BTW.

Very cool effect you added to that photo. The Golden Gate is one of my favorite bridges. Really like your site and other photo's. Especially the ones from Alcatraz. Thanks for visiting my site and for your comments. Cheers!

I would never think that any photo of the Golden Gate bridge was "ho-hum."

I never get tired of cable cars or the Golden Gate Bridge. I think I like my bridge "au naturel" better, but this is a good idea for some shots and you got some pretty good result here!

Terrific post of my favorite G. Love the poster effect for the Golden Gate Bridge.
The technique is especially effective for the fog pouring into the Gate.
