TO ANSWER YOUR QUESTIONS:

Adventure-Girl:   Yes it looks unusual, but it's just one rock that sent the ripples in one direction, and another rock that sent the ripples in the other direction.

Kriz-Cpec:   Nope, not a multi-exposure, and I needed to do very little post-processing other than to bring the low values up a bit with "curves".   I also oversharpened it quite a bit.
