experiments of eye and lens

I've always said that photography is pretty darn easy. So why am I having such a difficult time finding photos to snap in recent days? Really, I am in a photographic slump. And the harder I try, the less successful I seem to be.

I've been trying a new approach, letting the camera do the seeing for me.

Oh, I suppose it is sort of like the art of finding water or treasure using two sticks--I think they call it dowsing. The past couple of days I've just been hanging the camera around my neck and letting it lead the way. Not very scientific, but I'm running out of options.

Hey, I have someone else in my club now. Welcome! I haven't taken a photo with my Nikon in... my memory doesn't go that far back in time. I hope "it is just a passing phase" to quote Pink Floyd (The Wall).

Yeah SINBAD'S DAD (JOHN) -- Glad it is not just me with the dry spell. I "would" have been able to get some nice shots up at Alpine Dam this morning, but there was a film crew working and they would't let me stop where I had planned. I don't have a clue what they were shooting. Anyway, I continued on and took a nice hike at Rock Springs up on Mt. Tam. Actually, I did get a pretty good sunrise shot (is on my Facebook page), so I really shouldn't complain.
