That steam on the left side of the photo is belching from Chevron Refinery in Richmond, just on the other side of San Pablo Bay.

Just up the coastline of San Pablo Bay is the McNear's Brickyard, established in 1868, with a mountain of brick-making material dominating the landscape.

The colors were bold but free. The frigid morning also came without cost. Being there was priceless. As I've always said; "I'm one (brrr) lucky guy".
