That's Point Reyes Head out there in the distance.   Bolinas is just out of the photo, to the lower left.

But I have to admit that this is sort of an experiment that sort of went wrong -- I thought I kind of liked the results yesterday, but now I don't, but I have to admit it's better than the very weak image I started with.

Maybe this posterized example (above) is a more interesting, less nauseous result, but admittedly -- too much of this sort of wild stuff gets old pretty soon.

Looking across the "potato patch" towards Land's End on the San Francisco side of the Golden Gate.   That oil tanker is probably headed back to Alaska for another load.

Fun posters. You do them so well Don. Love the potatoe patch shot too. On this grey blah day I can use all the pretty I can get.

That top photo is one of your best. In fact, your entire series of sea and sky photos over the last week are just about as good as it gets. The big photo today at the top is a f--king masterpiece. (And no, the posterized version of the sunset is silly.)

Hey, it's me ..... the friend from Ohio ...... I speak.

Don and i have known each other for about three years now. I found his work as I was searching for images of Point Reyes or someplace out that way. The specific location escapes me, but that's not important now.

I envy Don .... living in paradise. The best locations for photography in California are within a day's drive. And he's out there every single day shooting. I know of no one else so devoted to his passion.

He's achieved some beautiful work (his main site attests to this). I would love to have half the number of shots on my site.

Speaking of sites, Don went waaaaaaay beyond the call of duty by offering to do the html work on my site. Additionally he offered up some great suggestions. I am forever indebted!
