Catching the lake at Nicasio in a fine light isn't all that difficult -- it's just a matter of being there at the crack of dawn. Yawn.

Shot these yesterday as I was spooking around Loch Lomond Harbor near the sleepy town of San Rafael. Yawn.

I can remember the San Rafael to Richmond Bridge being built, and even before that -- taking the ferry boat from Richmond to San Rafael on one of my family's numerous trips to Grandma's house.

And this handsome creature is a Black-crowned Night-Heron [thanks for the id. JK]. Didn't see him yawn once.

Love these pictures:)
Have a nice day.
Berit.
Great images. Really like the second two. I think the bird in the last photo is a Black-crowned Night-Heron though.
THANKS J.K. -- I fixed the text... I thought it looked different.
AND THANKS BARE BILDER -- I am in the middle of that nice day...
AND THANKS MARK for your input, as always.
Great lines in the marina photos. Nice shot of the heron too. Wish I could drag my self out at dawn to capture the morning like you do.
