The shores of Salt Point State Park are made up of sandstone that is sculpted into a variety of shapes by wind and water.

It's like walking on some strange planet in outer space. If I were filming a sci-fi movie this would be the place where my spacecraft could land.

This flowing sandstone just goes on and on -- big fairly flat areas -- like it is lava or something. Hardened and semi-crystalized sand repeatedly worn down by water from the relentless sea over eons.

Amazing earth sculptures Don. I never tire of what the ocean and the elements can do.
