When I was a kid -- oh so many years ago, I was into black and white photography. I had a darkroom setup and I pretty much lived, breathed, and ate all things photographic. Back then I was a big proponent of black and white -- these days, although I'm digital now, I like to give it a whirl on occasion.

And even though I did relatively little photography between the ages of 25 and 52 I never really stopped looking at things, like splashes, as if I was actually shooting them. I've always liked to frame-up subjects with my fingers -- I knew that someday I'd get back into photography.

Rodeo Beach is a good place to clear the mind. And a good splash often will take it to another level. Sound would have been nice, but just imagine a loud and resounding "fop".

Stunning action shot of the guys and that splash shot before it is a prize winner. Terrific work Don.
Thank you Don
for your always great coloured and B&W photography-blog (your blog makes me feel happy to look at!) your eye is really a pro photographers "eye". :)
Thankyou for your visit at my blog and your sweet supporting words , its so sad that I lost my dog! No words nor photo's can express my feelings,
Thanks again form JoAnn Holland
Thats some great shot, loving the pics!
Love the 4 pic series of the kids and improvised teeter-totter launcher!
Wonderful B&W photo. Very Ansel-like. Do post B&W's more often. Consider this coming from someone who long ago had his own darkroom and should do as he tells others.
Love the splashes. I'm going to have to get a DSLR.
THANKS ALL for your great comments -- very much appreciated.
