sunrise 2, China Camp

As I've previously mentioned, I'm usually an early-riser, so here it is at about "dark O-thirty", and I'm trying to get everything finished up so I can head out for the sunrise this morning.   Our Bay Area natural air-conditioning (the fog) has returned, so the Golden Gate Bridge area is probably thoroughly "socked in", so I think I'll head back out to China Çamp and see if I can find a somewhat clear view under the thick clouds...   Perhaps I'll get a shot, and maybe I won't, but I'm almost certain to discover groups of deer, a few egrets, herons, and maybe even some pelicans.   With all of the garbage going on in this world, it should be a great early morning escape...

Thanks for your visit to my SkyWatch Friday post, Don.

I'm on the road and in the field doing another photo trip chasing the bloom of our Rosebay Rhododendron (white blossoms) in the northern area of the Southern Appalachian mountains, and with lodging that does not have the most reliable internet service. I won't be home again for a few more days yet, but I did finally develop and upload a few images to update my July 7 Rhododendron post.

Sunrise this morning was a washout, literally, with locally heavy thunderstorms--looks like the rain won't ease up until later morning. Just had breakfast and its still raining. So, I wanted to try and get around to all who visited my SWF, and others too while I still have good internet access. So, please forgive this cut & paste with a small bit of personalization added--I do appreciate your visit and your comments.

Another amazing sunrise you've posted here Don. I see that your E-mail is in so I will respond sometime today if this rain keeps up, or I'll do so tonight.

That is just gorgeous. And all the birds and wildlife that you'll get to see as well. What a morning!

Don, I love your early morning escapades. No matter the weather you always find some perfect shots.
Today is the first day in 2 weeks that the smoke has lifted and the sky is thinking about maybe showing a bit of color. Its looked like grey Pacifica for a long time. We even have a little breeze, which is helping. I don't taste that acrid air now.
Have a nice weekend.

What a beautiful picture! I like the ones in your previous posts, too. You have a great blog. Thanks for the link to my blog. I'm a bit far behind on visiting blogs after been sick for about a week, but I'll link to you too, sometime this week, when I catch up a little. Have a great weekend!

You make a great case for getting up early, Don! Great colors!

The GG bridge has been practically invisible practically all of last week from Nob Hill, so I'm thinking you didn't miss anything by not going.

Thanks for your recent comments on my humble little blog, by the way :)

Great photo. It's cloudy this morning. No sunrise. We really need the rain. It was 104 here yesterday.

Nice waterlily photo. Great color and composition.
