A while back I learned of Dale Chihuly and his amazing work on a series of PBS programs, but I never thought I would get to have-my-mind-blown by seeing it up-close and in person. His creativity is exceeded only by his imagaination... After reverently making my way through eleven rooms of his work I came to the simple conclusion that this man must have been posessed by the process -- and obviously it wasn't an easy accomplishment.
The Wikipedia articles are sparse, and I still know relatively little about this man. I am curious, and need to see what else I can find out about this man and his driving-force.

I wonder if the artist who made this realized how much art could be pulled out of it like you have done.
Thanks for the comment, Louise...
When I photograph artwork I give all credit to the artist -- what I've done here is only to record what they've done. Selecting what to shoot and framing it up is just a lot of playful fun.
Oooooooo! Look at that last one with the blue tone in it! Well done!
I saw artisans make glass objects by hand when I was a kid. It's pretty incredible how they do it.
I didn’t know the works of Dale Chihuly until I saw your beautiful photos dear Donald. I visited his website (http://www.chihuly.com) . He’s really a great artist full of imagination and creativity. But I think you are too humble. Who could photograph Chihuly’s works more beautifully than you? I have adored these five pictures but the one at the top (tomorrow’s photo I think) is the greatest one. I was breathless when I saw it first. It’s a real pleasure to visit your sites!
Best regards,
p.s. I visited your KittyBlog and would like to leave a comment but could’nt find how to send one.
I'm salivating Don. I was hooked after seeing the ceiling at the Bellegio Hotel. You have done a supurb job of capturing his essence.
Amazing glasswork! I like this one best.
I like "Art" glass. Martha and I used to own a 'sideline' antique store. We bought and sold a lot of art glass.
Beautiful photos.

I had the pleasure of seeing Chihuly at Miami's Fairchild Gardens. It was wonderful in and of itself, but to see it mixed in with plantings made it even more enchanting. These are great takes of his work!
