2010 census data adds up to a whopping 7,002,425 for the 9 Bay Area counties including Alameda, Contra Costa, Marin, Napa, San Francisco, San Mateo, Santa Clara, Solano and Sonoma. Roughly, a 50 mile diameter area.
Yet within this incredibly overpopulated zone, it is still possible to find quiet places, mostly at odd hours, where traces of most humanity all but vanish.

Exquisite image of an exquisite place.
Fortunately there are only those 2,425 that seek out our quiet places. There's enough to go around for us.
