Spawning season at Lagunitas Creek has officially begun, and the water district is releasing more water into the creek from their reservoirs to encourage the annual migration...
But the Coho Salmon usually wait until a substantial rainstorm before they proceed upstream to lay their eggs -- and then, sadly, die...

Hi what a wonderfull nature, I just wondered if those are laying on water or on some rocks? or stones... Not that it matters really, the colours are brigde and very sharp , welldone..
