The weather around here has been pretty darned yucky the past several days, so things were looking good on Sunday morning when we got, at least, a few hours of sunshine...

And yes, the light on the mountain was really that red...   Unreal, isn't it ?

What wonderful photos with the sky as if it was blazing. As if a volcano exploded and set to fire both the sky and a hill.

Thanks Medam...   Yes, Mt. Tam often reminds me of a volcano, but of course, it isn't one...   But Mt. Tamalpais is full of water, and what the locals call the "Spirit of the Mountain" -- she, a goddess, has a name -- Tamalpa...   And I'm pretty sure she likes brightly colored sunrises...   She must have been pleased with this one...

What is that saying? Red sky in morning, sailors take warning?
Beautiful sunrise Don. Today is very dense fog and everything is dampish. Its the infamous winter valley tule fog. Very blah and there is the scent of SKUNK in the air. Phew....
