The population areas of The Redwoods look very run-down and vacant these days -- a lot of empty shacks, resorts, and boarded-up businesses... The logging industry has left, and with the price of gas, there probably aren't as many tourists on Highway 101 these days... The tall trees are still there in all their glory, for sure...

Boy, how many years have those been there....as long as I can remember. Sad to see things get shabby but oh the Redwoods....so magnificient.
