Unless you are driving in it and can't see where you're going -- fog is a very beneficial gift from nature that provides the Bay Area with an efficient, free, and highly predictable source of air-conditioning during the summer months...

Don, that kind of air conditioning is certainly cheaper than ours is now. I have to admit I don't miss waking up to dull, drippy socked in mornings.
It sure makes atmospheric photographs though.
Fog is precious to me..staying in Florida, i hardly get to witness the beauty of it. The last time i saw fog with my eyes was when i spent a week in this little town nestled amidst Himalayas in India.
I've grown to love the Fog since I live around the Bay. Sometimes, from SF, you can see the Fog get in through the GG Bridge and go straight towards the East Bay "in formation," just like a parade. It's really kind of cool!
I bet you could get a great picture of that, maybe from Telegraph Hill.
