sand patterns

I found these sand patterns on Tuesday afternoon at San Francisco's Ocean Beach.

It was very windy, but wind is what you need if you're going to make rippled sand.

1) Beautiful sand patterns! Wish I'd been there! Bet the sand felt great to walk in.
2) You blew my mind with the optical illusion picture in the previous post! It won't stop moving like gears (uh-oh, you see that too, right?). What is an op deck? A deck of cards?
3) You provide so many great pictures--it's a feast for the eye, it truly is.
