Lovely shadow plays. I am always fascinated by the way you look at common everyday sights.

Hi Moi, nope, they're evergreens and don't turn those amazing fall colors...
In the early days of tanning leather, the bark from this type of oak was boiled down into a solution of tannic acid that was used in the leather curing process... Harvesting the bark was quite an industry, and countless tanbark oak trees were harvested until the 1920's when chemists figured out how to make synthetic tanning chemicals...
You are so talented...these are so soothing and serene. :)
