When I'm out looking for photographs I tend to travel on the same old road loops. The lake at Nicasio is the most distant point on one of the loops.

We get vast quantities of fog in the area -- fog from the ocean about ten miles away and fog that radiates from moist pasturelands, plus fog that develops, like here, on the surface of the lake.
