Well, making a photograph doesn't get any easier than this. The secret, apparently, is just being there early--on the ever-widening shoreline of Nicasio Reservoir after a cold night. And et voilà... fog.

Really, all that is necessary is to aim, press the shutter, and run it up the flagpole to see if anyone salutes.
