Every afternoon, weather permitting, the sun spreads a glow on the Pacific. That's the equally-glowed-upon Bolinas Lagoon in the lower part of the photo.

And if you don't come back from Mt. Tamalpais with at least a half-dozen volunteer-oat stickers in your socks, you probably didn't do enough hiking around on top of what we locals call "The Mountain".

The third picture reminds me of that old fable "the Oak and the Reed"

(translations leave a lot to be desired but the #3 is about right, I guess)
Every time I see the wind play with something like wheat, barley, I always remember what the reed says to the Oak: "I bend, I DO NOT break!"
