Whoopie !!! it's Sky Watch Friday again !!!
I know I might be stretching the rules a bit today --
...is this a photo of the sky, or is this more a photo of ropes ?
I found this wealth of ropes and rigging aboard the Balcutha, an iron hulled shipping vessel docked at Hyde Street Pier in San Francisco.

Those are some strong crisscrosses across the sky!
your blog is amazing! whew!
Wonderful lines across the sky!
hehehe
As soon as "Louis" saw this image - and BEFORE he read the text, he knew this was the Balclutha!
Love your blog ! Thanks for stopping by !
Love the old Tall Ships and their array of rigging!
I see the sky:) Interesting patterning with the ropes.
It is perfect for skywatch. I love all of the lines, it makes this photo so interesting.
Nice photo! I think it's scary when I think someone has to crawl up those rope ladders.
It is an interesting photo. A little glimps into the days of tall ships.

I don't know about the rules but that is one very cool shot!!
Do you like ships? There is a very interesting ship from China right now in San Francisco until the end of October, I think.

Great photos, Don. I love the contrast between old and new in the header pic.
Love the lines against the blue sky.
Think Sky Watch is what ever you want to do with it.
Great job Don.
There is more sky than rope, so it´s not stretching too far. Great texture.
Great shot with the riggings. The wter reflections are just superb.
Cheers
Great shot, lots of interesting lines. Oh and good grief, you were right about the face in the leaves of my piccie!
Thanks so much for visiting my blog! I used to live in Sonoma Co. so your photos are particularly wonderful for me. The sunrise ones, the Angels rollover group photo, the China camp one: some extremely beautiful images. Thank you for posting. I'll be back!
I like your abstract painting. Starting a new trend?
Pretty cool! To bad that we don't see these old schooners so much anymore.
Cheers, Klaus
Sometimes a beautiful, clear sky can benefit from something in front on it. Your ropes give a lot of interesting angles!
Sailing ships always ad something to a sky picture! Nice SWF.
Very interesting! Like a SkyWatch barcode! Greetings from Iowa.
Really cool photo. Love seeing the pale blue sky through the ropes. Thanks for stopping by my blog!
