Groucho Marx once was quoted as saying: "I'd never join an organization that would have me as a member", but nevertheless I've joined the brand-new Welcome to My World group, which is brought to us by the fine folks over at Sky Watch Friday.
And yes, this is my world -- the waters of the Golden Gate turn bright and silvery in the afternoon sun... This is where you will often find me perched on a cliff, watching the ships come and go...
Kitty and I live in Marin County, just north of San Francisco. When I'm not staring at bright and silvery water down at Point Bonita you might find me hiking around on our beloved Mt. Tamalpais, the centerpiece of the area.

What beautiful scenery, a real view!
Thanks for your comment .
I love that golden water!
Beatiful pictures.
Don: What a great seascape that you captured so well. I await more posts from the Sanfran area.
Your world is always breathtaking.
Very beautiful photos on your side of the world. The scenery is so lovely. Thanks for sharing your part of the world. :)
That's the place to be!
Gorgeous - as always! Am glad you're joining in!
Cheers, Klaus
Wonderful shots! SF has always been a favorite place of mine.
These are gorgeous shots. Although I live on the east coast my brother and his family lives in Mill Valley so it's like visiting his neighbor. Your photography is splendid.
I love this travelling without hassling with airports or cars.
Thanks for sharing.
beautiful photos and plase!
I've never imagined the Bay with this beautiful light on it. I subpose I remember the foghorn mournfully booming out more. Do you often see Coyotes, and Deer, and hillsides covered in Californian Poppies?
First I went to your 'big' site by link. Ohhh!!! Breathtakingly beautiful photos!! Love them all, but there is no place to leave a comment? Your world through your eyes is so so so fabulous.
Great shots! I like them all but my favourite is the last one with the misty mountains! Thanks for visiting!
Just beautiful...
You live in an area I've always wanted to visit..
Prairie Visions
Hi Don, I have been lurking here for quite sometime now. Thanks for visiting my world entry. Please check my regular photoblog at http://calrat.blogspot.com.
I am going to add you to my links.
This is my favorite shot of Mt. Tam so far. Absolutely awesome. I love it!!!
A most beautiful part of the world.
Wonderful photos, I especially like the foggy last one.
Love the way you see your world Don. it gives me snippets of "home" for 41 years.
The last shot with the fog in the valley is absolutely spectacular. You get A+++ and 3 gold stars on that one.
Your comment on the Alpaca and Snickerdoodle made me grin. You are absolutely right. I get to dog sit her this next weekend. Never in a million years did I ever think I would do that!!
Anywhere by the sea will do for me, looks a stunning part of the world. Cheers Mike.
a beautiful world i have been emjoying on your blog for more than a year now...:)
Must be wonderful in your world:)
Oh my what beautiful scenery. Your pictures are stunning!
You do indeed live in a beautiful corner of the world. SF is one of my favourite cities, having been there many times. I also toured the Muir Woods over in your neck of the woods - ha ha - love your photos and look forward to seeing more. :D
You've got the perfect perch there to watch the day go by. Thanks so much for sharing it with us, promise we won't take up much room. hehe
LOL over KittyBLOG. That is great!
All three pictures are super, but my personal favorite is the last one. Just a nice contrast between the grasses in the foreground with the sky and the misty mountains off in the distance. Nice.
You have been showing us your beautiful world for some time! I have been to San Francisco and it's southern sister cities a number of times, only once got across the Golden Gate into your world there. Thanks for visiting my world.
Great shots, Don, especially the one on the bottom.
That water definitely looks golden, i also like that last photo with the fog in the valley
You live in a very beautiful place dear Donald! The golden water photo is impressive!
Fabulous set of pictures, what better way to spend your time than watching the many moods of the water? It looks like an idyllic spot.
Thanks for the wonderful trip around your place. So very much different from my place but I do wanna share my place also to you. Great job.
Beautiful - I love that area of the country. That second photo in particular is wonderful.
what a lovely place to live...sigh...
These are such beautiful shots of your place.
(Sorry couldn't make it on Tuesday!)
Beautiful scenery and great photos.
Thanks for sharing these.
Thanks for the visit,
Troy
