Groucho Marx once was quoted as saying:   "I'd never join an organization that would have me as a member", but nevertheless I've joined the brand-new Welcome to My World group, which is brought to us by the fine folks over at Sky Watch Friday.

And yes, this is my world -- the waters of the Golden Gate turn bright and silvery in the afternoon sun...   This is where you will often find me perched on a cliff, watching the ships come and go...

Kitty and I live in Marin County, just north of San Francisco.   When I'm not staring at bright and silvery water down at Point Bonita you might find me hiking around on our beloved Mt. Tamalpais, the centerpiece of the area.

These are gorgeous shots. Although I live on the east coast my brother and his family lives in Mill Valley so it's like visiting his neighbor. Your photography is splendid.

I've never imagined the Bay with this beautiful light on it. I subpose I remember the foghorn mournfully booming out more. Do you often see Coyotes, and Deer, and hillsides covered in Californian Poppies?

First I went to your 'big' site by link. Ohhh!!! Breathtakingly beautiful photos!! Love them all, but there is no place to leave a comment? Your world through your eyes is so so so fabulous.

Wonderful photos, I especially like the foggy last one.

Love the way you see your world Don. it gives me snippets of "home" for 41 years.
The last shot with the fog in the valley is absolutely spectacular. You get A+++ and 3 gold stars on that one.
Your comment on the Alpaca and Snickerdoodle made me grin. You are absolutely right. I get to dog sit her this next weekend. Never in a million years did I ever think I would do that!!

You do indeed live in a beautiful corner of the world. SF is one of my favourite cities, having been there many times. I also toured the Muir Woods over in your neck of the woods - ha ha - love your photos and look forward to seeing more. :D

All three pictures are super, but my personal favorite is the last one. Just a nice contrast between the grasses in the foreground with the sky and the misty mountains off in the distance. Nice.

You have been showing us your beautiful world for some time! I have been to San Francisco and it's southern sister cities a number of times, only once got across the Golden Gate into your world there. Thanks for visiting my world.
