It really surprised me that so many clicked "wow" yesterday for this photo, so I thank you for helping me get it sorted out.
I didn't think it was anything special -- and if I had been "worth my salt" I would have been shooting using a tripod so I could use a low ISO, hence less noise. I tried as best I could to brace the camera on something.
But this is Hotaling Street, and this would have been right down there at the old San Francsisco shoreline. The Transamerica Pyramid is built on top of an old dock area -- some wooden ships are buried amidst it's foundations.

Looking through the back window, this is the famous Peter Pap's Oriental Rugs -- you may have seen him on Antiques Road Show.
One has to wonder, in all political correctness, if we should be calling Oriental rugs "Asian" rugs. I just don't know. But what I want to know about is who, in an economy like this, has money to spend on Oriental rugs.

If this was a "real" jungle one might expect to see Tarzan swinging by on vines. The Chimpanzee would probably be me, Cheeta, down on the ground shooting pictures.
