Fog from the coast often lends a helping hand, but when conditions are just right -- and they often are -- the lake at Nicasio is able to generate copious amounts of it's own fog.

ANNOUNCEMENT
With the help of neighbors I was able to recover "part" of my beloved Kitty yesterday. I will give her a proper burial today, but this will help bring some resolution to her disappearance. Thanks to everyone for your understanding -- it's been a rough three weeks but I should now be able to move on. A finer cat would be hard to find, so I'll try my best to return to a "bachelor existence" for at least the immediate future. Thanks for your caring and kindness.

I understand the sense of some closure for Kitty you must have now. Thank you for the update. Nice too to see that everyone who has voted so for on today's header photo...agrees. Wonder who it is every once in awhile throws you a "boring"?
Hi SINBAD'S DAD -- Appreciate your thoughts about Kitty. And about the occasional "boring" rating -- well, I probably have those coming, and they DO keep me on my toes. I always say that I've always benefited from every bit of criticism I've ever gotten. I've got to keep striving for the best. Always interesting to hear what others think.
So sorry for the loss of Kitty but glad you could find a bit of closure to the situation.
I just knew Kitty would never just run away.
Hang in there friend and keep snapping.
