I've visited my beloved Lagunitas Creek so many times I call it my own.
Oh, I suppose the Marin Municipal Water District and the State of California Parks System might have other ideas about ownership, but hereby I claim -- for you and me -- the artful waters of the mighty Lagunitas Creek.

I was having trouble this morning finding other suitable Lagunitas Creek photos to go with the first photo, so I thought you might like some recent surfer shots.

I shot these with my new 2x tele-extender which lengthens my zoom to 400mm.

Your extender is fantastic. I really like the top two surfers: the color of the wave, the wave behavior, and surfer position in relation to the crashing part of the wave (I don't know what that is called) all work together perfectly. I would WOW them.

I am impressed with what the tele-extender did. Most often they are poo-pooed for giving poor results but these shots looks great to me. Now you have me considering getting one. I had one long ago for my film SLR, but never went that route with this digital stuff. What brand is yours?

Thanks HOOLY -- yeah at Rodeo Beach the afternoon light shows beautifully through the wave.

And Hi SINBAD'S DAD -- yeah, I know -- anything "add on" is prone to suffer quality-wise, but looks like they've improved this 3rd generation model of the Canon tele-extednder. The price on the 2nd generation tele-extender was $300, and this was $500 so if quality can be judged by price (although Canon has had some problems) then the price alone should indicate that this model has been improved. --Only problem is find ways to hand-hold 400mm. At the beach I just planted my rear and was able to hold the camera fairly steady.
