Oh Lord, I was walking by the funky toner store on Kearny at the base of Chinatown as I often do -- when Jesus and Mary appeared in a 3-D hologram, changing like magic from Jesus to Mary when I moved one way, and Mary to Jesus when I moved the other. Imagine my fascination.
At 8AM on Sunday the shop was closed so I'm planning another trip to check the price-tag. I'm not a religious person, but I definitely need one of these!
ANYONE RECOGNIZE THE ARTIST?
The reason I'm asking is I got an email from L.S. yesterday and she owns the two framed prints (top quality prints, not schlock like this) but would like to know the name of the artist. Anyone know who painted the originals?

If I said "half-way-between-Bolinas-and-Point-Reyes" would that narrow it down for you a bit? Or how about 40-miles-north-of-San-Francisco-on-the-coast. Okay -- now you know where we are. Only question is WHY...

I think today's banner image is one of my all-time favorites. Love it!
Great post. I love grave yards. Sorry I don't know the artist on your hologram, but I have seen the paintings before. I'm assuming those are your sunglasses on the wooden looking cross, very clever.
Thanks MARCIE for the compliment on today's banner ((ten points and a gold star if anybody knows where I shot it)))
And SCOTT -- nope those aren't my sunglasses -- the were poised like that last time I was out there a couple months ago (((oh I suspect that they don't really belong to the guy planted under the marker, but it's a good story)))
Funny how someone thought the banner shot was just "ok". I used to enjoy graveyards, but now that I am older I look at the dates and do the math. The results are scary so I don't go to graveyards anymore.
Hi SINBAD'S DAD -- Yeah, when I visit graveyards these days it's different than when I was younger.
But I find it a way to make peace with the process -- finding out that yes indeed I just might be mortal after all.
