Just in my lifetime I've seen modest San Francisco buildings transform into today's tall showcases of glass, steel, and concrete.

Many of these structures now dwarf the hills that support them. Finally San Francisco has a wealth of office space, but a dearth of businesses to rent all that space.

But also a wealth of photo opportunities. With a dearth of good photographers to take advantage of them. Glad you are there to do it.
Perfect photo for Monday morning ;)These buildings, in my opinion, look their absolute best at the end of the day, early evening, when the light is about to go. You wouldn't believe the number of shades of grey and brown. Photo #1 is really sharp and really popped when you put it in the banner.
THANKS SY -- You are too kind!
AND HI TOMATE FARCIE -- I'm generally never over in the City at the end of the day, but I'm going to have to check out the light -- thanks (sincerey) for the tip...
Oh, you know it's just an opinion. How it would photograph is a different story. Still, if you're ever in the neighborhood around 7 pm or so, you'll probably notice how different the buildings look than they do 9 to 5, I think.
It's a pity that traditional San Francisco buildings do not exist anymore but ... these photos are marvellous!
