Mountain Theater

This is Mountain Theater on Mount Tamalpais, where thespians have been putting on cheesey plays, and some good ones (last year they did "Hair"), since 1923.   The seating is a bit primitive -- most attendees know enough to bring cushions.

Looks like an amphitheater we sat on in Isreal a few years ago. Definitely need extra padding. I never attended any of the productions at Mountain Theater, have you? I think it would be fun.
About the Blue Angels. Yes we were super close. We were right across a tiny 2 lane road paralleling the runway. When those guys flew by I thought my teeth would rattle. The show was great but the clouds really made the day.
have a great Easter Don.

Hi Photo-Sue,

Nope, I've never attended the Mountain Theater, but last year I imagined that "Hair" must have been a lot of fun.

And good job getting close to the Blue Angels in Sacramento. I caught them quite by accident from Fort Baker last year, but that was pretty far away for my zoom.

But I know how deafening and earth shaking it is having jets fly close overhead...   Back in the late '60's Uncle Sam sent me to Air Defense Artillery School (I was drafted) and one of the first things they pulled on us was to fly a jet about 30 feet over our heads -- just about singed my eyebrows, and I couldn't hear for the rest of the day... Had that been real combat, I would have been dead, fer sure... --Those jets have a sneaky technique where they get between the sun and you -- so you can't see them coming...

Good to know! I've never attended but I've been invited a number of times when I used to live in Marin. I guess now I know... these seats spell "back ache" to me! ;)

On the blue angels... I was in the Marina a couple of years ago and managed to find a seat right at the edge of the water. At one point, they flew so close, I yelled out loud (without being able to hear myself, though) and very nearly dropped the camera in the water!
