Oh, yeah, I remember Carol Doda! She was big in the 80's too. I actually saw her once in 1985, in North Beach. She walked into a restaurant with friends. Didn't know who she was but my then-boyfriend knew immediately who she was and so did half the establishment.
Funny how memory works... I probably saw the mural, too, that same night, but all I remember is "meeting" Carol.
