Purisma Creek

Around the turn of the last century San Francisco had an insatiable appetite for construction wood, and loggers cut most all of the old growth redwoods in Purisma Canyon, located behind Half Moon Bay, about twenty miles south of San Francisco...   But the redwoods have since regenerated themselves -- sprouted from the roots of the cut trees...   Redwoods grow quickly, and even hundred-year-old redwoods are quite impressive...   A pleasant creek runs through the canyon...   It's a great place for a leisurely hike...   See you there...
