Well, I'm living dangerously here -- those whites are without much texture, and they are getting p-e-r-i-l-o-u-s-l-y close to being "blown-out". But what the heck -- grab the sunscreen and maybe a dry pair of socks -- lets go to the beach!
These photos were made a few days ago at Black Sands Beach, a popular nude sunbathing spot. But sorry -- no candid photos of unsuspecting nudists on this outing -- it was much to early and cold for that sort of thing. Black Sands Beach is located about half-way between the Golden Gate Bridge and Point Bonita.

Lets play the p-e-r-i-l-o-u-s game of approaching the waves on their own level, but keep an eye out for that "seventh" wave if you don't want to get your feet wet.

Or you can climb high on the p-e-r-i-l-o-u-s cliffs and look down on the surf. But for Heaven's sake, be careful -- sandy cliffs can let-go at any time -- lets be careful out there, photographers...

I liked Black Sands beach but that cliffside trail was fairly terrifying. Is it still a nightmare? Your recent ocean shots, by the way, are really magnificent. Thanks for all this work.
HI MIKE -- Well the trail down to Black Sands Beach is pretty good now, but of course it's one heck of a steep and exhausting climb coming back up...
And thanks for the compliments, Mike, -- I enjoy your adventures with the S.F. Symphony, etc., although I think it is much more comfortable reading abut the performances than actually having to sit and squirm through them... --But you gotta understand -- when I was a kid I got dragged to concerts all the time (((my brother was a musician (double string bass) at an early age in the Monterey County Symphony)))
Awesome white foam.
Loved the interview, and I hope you get up the nerve to photograph the nudes one day. You'll make it art, even the ones that shouldn't be nude.
