On Saturday I meandered over Mount Tamalpais via the Fairfax-to-Bolinas Road, and descended into a fog bank hovering low on the coastline. Although yuou can't see much of it here, the cliffs between Stinson Beach and Muir Beach are particularly rugged.

I love looking at that fog (especially right now!! they said it was 92C in SF today, not sure how hot my little apart will be when I get home!)

AND HI TOMATE FARCIE -- That guy with the satellite dish was at the Marina Green, and I don't know exactly what he was trying to receive, but I'm pretty sure he would have been thrilled to have to opportunity to explain it all to me in the geekiest of detail...
That half-rabbit deal is down on Columbus Avenue, but you know, except for hillbillies, rabbit has never been very popular in the U.S. diet... Almost hate to admit it, but my family raised rabbits for food -- my father would knock the "fryers" over the head with a steel pipe, string them up, and do all the nasty stuff that you've got to do if you want some tasty rabbit for Sunday dinner...
I'm not a fan of fog, but your fog is enticing. And how much brighter it seems inland after the fog!
Looks like Saturday was a beautiful day for a drive. Alpine Lake there is gorgeous.
Don: don't feel bad, eating rabbit is pretty common in France. I remember seeing them hang upside down at the farmers' market on Sunday mornings (yuck, I know, but they actually taste really good).

@Louise: Locals love the SF fog (well eventually) because it acts as a natural air conditioner and makes for a pleasant climate (compared to the 100+ degree temperatures a little further inland).
