During the Dot-Com boom San Francisco developers decided to dot the South of Market area with several new and impressive buildings.

And even after the Dot-Com bust they continued to build. These days I'll guarantee that San Francisco has absolutely NO shortage of office space.

Am I the only one who worries about all that glass going up, down in that area? I hope I'm nowhere near these constructions when the big one decides to hit. They do make very elegant photographic subjects, though.
HI TOMATE FARCIE -- Nope, you aren't the only one who worries about falling glass in an earthquake -- it might be one of those huge engineering mistakes that is going to cost a lot of human lives down the road... That Orrick Building is the worst -- they use open panels of glass all supported by these strange little metal thingies... Watch out below...
great shots. you should stop by and check out fotoblur. you may enjoy entering some of your work there.. just spreading the word.
My place (The Perch), is set on a bluff, but I don't think we have a building over two stories tall in town. I imagine I would suffer from vertigo being shadowed by such behomoths, They sure make for some pleasing photos though. Way cool.
Beautiful series of images. I miss the architecture of the big cities where I live. Might have to come down and visit.
