Now, imagine 65,000 of these ambitious and wacky athletes...
Shot near the summit of Hayes Street Hill, which is the toughest part of the seven mile course across San Francisco. Read more about the history of the party/race at: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bay_To_Breakers

I wouldn't want to be a runner in that race. It's already hard enough to just walk it, so trying to run while surrounded by all these people ... arghhh!!!
It looks like you took the shots from the side. Good for you! I was in the race and by the time it was over, my clothes, my camera, my hair, and my glasses were covered with miscel. beer and who knows what!
It was a fun day, but I'm afraid the people living on Hayes St., weren't too happy about the nasty clean-up job they undoubtedly faced after the race.
(what was I thinking wearing clothes to participate in the B2B, uh.) ;)
Wow! You captured such great expressions here, Donald!
The photo at the top of the page reminds me of a Japanese woodcut. :-) Nice to get caught up on your wonderful photos.
Cheers,
Sparkle
