Yes folks, this is the "Golden Gate" -- the entrance to San Francisco Bay.
Boat captains sometimes call this area of water the "potato patch" -- the mixing of tides churns up the water. Shots taken from the Point Bonita area.

I see this scene and just go Ahhh. In the City last week but all I saw was the inside of the convention center. In at 6AM and out after 8PM. No photo opportunity. We were going to arrive early but ended up going to a Memorial service instead.
I guess I will have to make a date to just go take pictures sometime when I want to do the 2 hour drive each way.
this is a great structure and you captured very beautifully
