Well, I thought I had enough photos that I could show you some more from Sonoma.   This very red couch is inside General Vallejo's home.

Enslavement and domination of the native popluation was extremely profitable for the General and his wife.   They had a penchant for ordering all sorts of refined things from Europe.   About the only thing they didn't have was an indoor toilet.

I absolutely love this pattern -- it goes all around the interior walls of a large room in the Citadel.
