Broadway Tunnel, S.F.

I have no idea of how many miles I walked in San Francisco on Wednesday, but starting at the Marina Green I walked over to Union Street and up a steep hill in Pacific Heights, cut east several blocks to Van Ness, did a little zig-zag over to Larkin Street, clambered up Nob Hill and slid down the other side into Chinatown, shuffled along Montgomery into the Financial District, and ended up at Union Square where I had great fun taking photos of kids young-and-old trying their best to skate on a strange foreign white substance -- I think they call it ice.

On my return trip I walked through the very long and dark Stockton Street tunnel, past the shops and curiosities of Chinatown again, and while I was trying to make my way back to the Marina Green I decided to walk through the Broadway Tunnel -- a first for me.   That's where I got this photo.   Hope you like it...

Totally awesome Don. The colors and perspective make this a prize.
That was a mighty long hike you did. I'll bet you have an entire new file of pictures now.
Have a great weekend.

Wow. What a walk!!! I'm impressed and envious! :)

I love walking through the City. That is one of my favorite passtimes, ever, always have been. I used to do quite a LOT of that in Paris, which is one of the greatest walking cities in the world.

As to this photograph, it is simply AWESOME. I TOTALLY dig it, I mean totally. Thank you!!!

THANKS PHOTOWANNABE SUE AND TOMATE FARCIE,
And I appreciate your comments -- I'm trying to decide on a photo to enter in the Marin County Fair next year and this one might be a candidate -- not quite as "sleepy" as some of my others...

When I was a teenager I always looked forward to the Monterey County Fair, and one year I actually got a third prize...

And yeah, that WAS quite a walk -- I had absolutely no idea of where I was going -- I pretty much wore myself out...   Such a pleasure to walk in safe neighborhoods...

And yep, I've been on a "roll" with photos in the past few days -- I also have some good ones from yesterday atthe Marin Civic Center and some sunset shots at the Golden Gate Bridge...

Don: you have so many great shots, I imagine it will be very difficult to choose from, but this one is very original.

I think I´ve seen this in movies or maybe it was just similar looking tunnel. Beautiful city lights.

I think this is a winner. You must enter it. I give it the Blue Ribbon.
