Tilden Botanical Garden

If you enjoy looking at gardens and plants, the Bay Area is the place to be.   I found this tranquil scene in Tilden Botanical Garden, on the other side of the hill behind Oakland.   We also have the San Francisco Botanical Garden in Golden Gate Park which is close to the fabulous Conservatory of Flowers.   Up the road a bit in Santa Rosa is the home and growing grounds of Luthur Burbank.   But in my opinion, the place that takes-the-cake is the U.C. Berkeley Botanical Gardens, which is divided up into plant regions of the world, including a really interesting garden of California natives.   See you there...

The patterns are really cool on your photoarrows site. I little time with Nature can do wonders for the soul, I think. Thanks for the tip on where to go find her in the Bay Area. Can't wait to see what you shot yesterday on Market St. :)

That's such a lovely picture, with the ferns or bracken up close, the background just slightly blurred...very serene. i also love that gorgeous picture of the colours in the water, from a couple of days ago.
Do you have an X idea for tomorrow??

Hi Cabacurl,

Thanks for the compliment (and of course thanks to Tomate Farcie also)...   I've been experimenting with shooting at a wide aperture for selctive focus...

And yes, I do have an "X" for tomarrow, but I had to go back about 14 months to find something (I don't know if that's cheating or not)... Anyway, it's all top-secret until tomorrow. morning...
