odd sky - Sky Watch Friday
click photo for full-size image
California skies are filled with smoke from a rash of wildfires all over the state, so we probably won't be seeing pretty blue skies for another week.
I shot this a week or two ago. It might look a bit odd because I posterized it a bit -- it looked pretty darned boring otherwise.
Happy Sky Watch Friday everybody!

You have created a wonderful photo. Happy SWF.
Very nice SWF! Will try to get to big site.
Wau, like there has been indians:)
I'm back ...
Oh no, cried blog world ... he's back!
But guess what, I'm glad I decided to make a comeback.
If I didn´t rejoin SWF I would never have the chance to see this great photo!
I see a smiley face in the plume on the left! See it? =)
excellent!
You have an amazing eye and seemed to be not afraid at experimenting.
I will surely be back.
I agree but it is neat!
I must say the effects work really well in this picture. The hues of blue are nicely displayed :)
Have a good weekend!
P/S: Thanks for the 10 stars award *Blush*
It looks like a lady is tiptoeing barefoot through the sky, or through a big puddle. Love it!
It's freat - your title photo is truly stunning.
what an interesting dancing sky! :)
love the effect! :)
happy SWF!
I love the effect. Great pic. VEry interesting!
I don´t think it´s that boring. Au contraire, in fact. There is like a feet of some woman walking across the sky.
Nice effect! Be glad you shot it a week ago, though. The sky is even thicker today than it was yesterday (smoke and fog, i think). I'm on Nob Hill and I can't even see the Coit Tower today. Can you smell the smoke in Marin?
I so so appreciate your header and yes interesting tailed clouds
I don't find this odd. I find it nice: A great shot!
Did you know that we here in Norway have a footbal team (soccer) called ODD???
It is not my favorite team;)
Petunia's SWF
Smoke plumes make for very interesting cloud formation. Loved what you did to your photo.
Great SWF!
I like what you've done. It almost makes it look like a painting!
I'll bet the 'boring' photo was also beautiful. Though I do like the lady legs. LOL MB
A very nice work with beautiful colours and effects! Artistic and interesting!
I wish you a perfect week-end dear Donald :-)
Wow...look at those legs walking gingerly over the bay. Beautiful.
Great shot - What you did worked:))
And thanx for commenting on my photos:))
Very cool. Happy SWF!
Great capture for sky watch!
Have a nice weekend.
Looks like someone tiptoeing across the sky. Very interesting sky Don.
I remember California Smoke skies! Nice shot.
Toe dancer. Beautiful. Like the enhancement.
Gosh, I don't envy your fires right now! It's winter here and just had the first summer I can remember without them. Well done with the photo enhancement :)
That's an interesting tweak you put on your photo; made a nice Sky Watch.
No boring at all, you succeed in giving your picture a nice effect, just on the sky, I wonder how you can do that, but I think that's make part of the illusion! I would like to get a full-size of the full-size, because I'm curious. Are they buildings in the foreground?
It looks to me like the long legs of a woman in high heels walking past, brilliant shot!
Not boring at all. Let your fingers do the walking : ) Thanks for visiting my site for Sky Watch!
Wow DON!!
I am so glad that i ever saw your blog, I like always alternative photography , venso by photoshop, I like it all, You did it again!!! (piece of art!)
Thanks so much
very nice - I like the effect
Hey, I think I'm headed to Hermitville, I also have a cat!
Maybe you can direct my path?
Love this photo, too amazing, and I guess cloud watching here in the PNW is a bit boring, like now at 8;30 Am Gray Gray fog, but I love it, you can't see much or far, but it feels so fresh.
